Background & Experience
Dr. Michael Millard earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Theatre (Acting) from Western Washington University before pursuing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, California. During medical school, Dr. Millard was recognized for his academic excellence by earning Dean’s List honors and graduating first in his class with the Academic Achievement Award.
Following medical school, Dr. Millard completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Riverside University Health System, where he gained extensive experience evaluating and treating a wide range of complex medical emergencies. He continues to practice emergency medicine while expanding his expertise through an Interventional Pain Management fellowship at Loma Linda University. This allows him to bring a unique perspective to diagnosing and treating painful musculoskeletal, spine, and nerve conditions.
Commitment to Education & Research
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Millard is dedicated to medical education. He serves as a Guest Lecturer at Western University of Health Sciences and has presented numerous lectures on emergency medicine and pain management. His academic interests include optimizing pain management strategies and improving patient care through continued clinical innovation.
Dr. Millard has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in emergency medicine and vascular access research, as well as clinical case reports and population health studies. He has also presented research at regional and national scientific meetings.
