Dr. Jungjae Lim

Background & Experience

Dr. Lim began his education at the University of California, San Diego where he majored in Economics. After graduation, he decided to pursue a career in the sciences and healthcare, and developed a strong interest in embryonic stem cells and worked in a lab where he studied which factors led to their differentiation into mature skeletal muscle cells. He then enrolled at Saint George’s School of Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine.

He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. Immediately after, he started his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He then stayed in Syracuse to complete a fellowship in Pain Medicine with the Department of Anesthesia.

Memberships

Dr. Lim is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, North American Neuromodulation Society, American Society of Pain & Neuroscience, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Spine Intervention Society.

When he isn’t at the office, he enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures and languages to gain differing perspectives on life. He enjoys photography, architecture, going to museums, cooking, and hiking.
