Welcome to
Source Healthcare

Millions of adults in America live with high-impact chronic pain. Conventional medicine is not a panacea for pain relief. Different approaches to pain management have emerged to help patients manage their pain in ways not possible before.

Like chronic pain, there is no single treatment protocol for acute pain. What works for someone else may not work for you. In addressing pain, it is important to consider factors like the possibility of specialized treatment for the particular condition, the need for a comprehensive approach to pain management, and pain medicine dependence and tolerance.

A good understanding of the reasons for your pain, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle changes will help you make the best decisions about your health. Source Healthcare is with you every step of the way in relieving, fighting, and preventing pain.

Innovative Injectables Help You Live Life to the Fullest

A facet joint injection is used to treat back and neck pain. During the short procedure, your doctor injects a local anesthetic and a corticosteroid into the painful joints to provide immediate pain relief. The safe, non-surgical procedure is part of a treatment plan that includes rest, physical therapy, chiropractic manipulations, and medications.

Facet joint injections provide several months of pain relief. After successful facet blocks, your doctor may recommend radiofrequency ablation for long-term pain relief.

Epidural injections are a safe and effective treatment for cervical or lumbar radiculopathy, chronic neck or low back pain, sciatica, headaches, and spinal stenosis. Although they do not treat the underlying condition, they relieve pain and inflammation within a few days of being administered. In conjunction with other treatments, epidural injections can maximize pain relief or prolong the effects. After an assessment, your doctor will determine the number of injections and a personalized plan.

Spinal Cord Restoration is Here

A spinal cord stimulator is an implantable neuromodulation device that sends electrical signals to the spinal cord and masks pain sensation with a tingling sensation. It is used to significantly reduce chronic pain from disease, injury, or accident, and usually is offered after conventional therapy has proven ineffective. The minimally-invasive procedure is performed in an outpatient setting.

Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is effective in the long-term management of severe chronic pain. It is more effective in the earlier stages of a chronic condition, including chronic arm or leg pain from arthritis or spinal stenosis, failed back surgery syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, and arachnoiditis. The goal of SCS is to reduce pain by 50% to 70%.

After an evaluation of your pain history, physical condition, and medication, your doctor determines if you’re a candidate for SCS. Trial stimulation is done before implantation. If the trial is successful and you experience a 50% improvement in pain, surgery is scheduled.

Stay on Top of Your Game With Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine works by stimulating the body’s healing resources to repair damaged tissues. We offer stem cell therapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to resolve different painful conditions, including arthritis, radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, herniated discs, compression fractures, occipital neuralgia, and tendon and muscle injuries.

In PRP therapy, your blood is processed to prepare a concentration of platelets and plasma and injected into a location near the painful or injury site. The blood’s platelets and plasma have natural healing properties. They promote the growth of new, healthy cells, helping heal injuries faster.

A stem cell has the unique ability to develop into other specialized cell types in the body. Stem cells taken from your blood are placed near the damaged tendon. They develop into the tissue cells, transforming non-functional cells into functional cells. Stem cell therapy reduces severe pain and may lead to better function and mobility.

Interventional Pain Management

Interventional pain management uses a multidisciplinary approach that leverages the expertise of a team of medical professionals to provide treatments for acute or chronic pain. It emphasizes minimally-invasive techniques, such as injections, nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation, to reduce or manage pain. The desired outcomes of interventional pain management treatments are, helping you lead a better quality of life, return to your routine activities quickly, and decrease dependence on pain medication.

Interventional pain management is different from non-interventional pain management, which relieves pain without injections or surgery. It also differs from integrative pain management, which involves alternative and complementary medicine such as acupuncture, massage, and herbal supplements. Integrative pain management focuses on helping you deal with the pain while interventional treatments provide complete and/or long-lasting pain relief. In some cases, interventional pain management can work more effectively in conjunction with some integrative pain therapies, such as behavioral and physical therapy. The goal of all three treatment approaches is to help you achieve the desired changes you want in your daily life.
